New San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge
We performed polyester and methacrylate paving as well as joint work for the New San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge, a $6.5 billion structure connecting Oakland and San Francisco, California.
Part of the project involved ACC team members working in 24-hour shifts for four and a half days to complete the final construction of the bridge before the bridge opening to the public. This final push included more than 4,000 person hours, and helped to achieve the team’s goals for getting the bridge open by the time commuters returned to work after the Labor Day weekend.
